Policy Changes at a Glance - January 2, 2006 through January 1, 2007

        False Identification for Obtaining Alcohol

        Loss of Driving Privileges for Alcohol Violations by Minors ("Use/Lose" Laws)

Adopted discretionary license sanction for those under 18 who purchase, possess or consume alcohol; adopted mandatory license sanction for those 18 to 20 who purchase, possess or consume alcohol.  See Loss of Driving Privileges for Alcohol Violations by Minors ("Use/Lose" Laws)

 

        Underage Consumption of Alcohol

Adopted prohibition on consumption with exceptions for private locations and religious purposes.  See Underage Consumption of Alcohol

 

Indiana  (IN)

        Beverage Service Training and Related Practices

Specified that training requirements apply to both new and existing licensees.  See Beverage Service Training and Related Practices

 

Maine  (ME)

        Alcohol Beverages Taxes: Distilled Spirits

Increased the upper limit of alcohol content for low-alcohol spirits from less than 6% alcohol by volume to 6% alcohol by volume.  See Alcohol Beverages Taxes: Distilled Spirits

 

        Alcohol Beverages Taxes: Flavored Alcoholic Beverages

Maryland  (MD)

        Alcohol Beverages Taxes: Beer

        Keg Registration

        Underage Consumption of Alcohol

Oklahoma  (OK)

        False Identification for Obtaining Alcohol
